Description of the role:

The Business Director is responsible for successfully directing and coordinating all activities in the business office including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, billing, benefits management, compliance and risk management, insurance, and building lease coordination.

Primary Responsibilities:                                                                                                

  • Reflect the core values of Klipsch Senior Care, LLC, (d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead franchise).
  • Lead the accounting function for all Klipsch Senior Care Home Instead locations. 
  • Monitor and manage the accounts receivable and collections processes. 
  • Process semi-monthly billing for all clients.
  • Ensure all Client insurance-related claims and authorizations timely to ensure payment.
  • Process semi-monthly CarePro and Key Player staff payroll managing insurance related deductions.
  • Process, monitor and verify all daily bank activity including deposits, ACH, EFT, etc. 
  • Reconcile all bank statements, loan accounts, etc. ensuring accuracy.
  • Create monthly financial statements by the 10th of the following month. 
  • Ensure compliance to industry and governmental regulations.
  • Oversee the submission of claims
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure all tasks are completed timely and accurately.
  • Ensure training/support of all direct reports.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are implemented and communicated to all employees.
  • Coordinate and manage all business insurance policies for Klipsch Senior Care.
  • Manage all building lease agreements as well as other vendor relationships.

 

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Maintain and establish strong relationships with the KSC Leadership team.
  • Manage special projects as needed.
  • Perform all other functions and responsibilities deemed necessary for the successful operation of Klipsch Senior Care organization. 

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • College degree required with a preferred area of study area of Business Administration or equivalent
  • Four to ten years of related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position will be responsible for overseeing all of the functions performed by the Finance office team.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, coaching employee’s performance; problem resolution while seeking positive outcomes.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have an understanding of and uphold the policies and procedures established by Klipsch Senior Care, LLC (d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead franchise)
  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
  • Must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills is essential as well as sound judgment and good decision-making
  • Must demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards, practices, policies and procedures
  • Must have the ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly work
  • Must have the ability to establish good working relationships with office colleagues, the franchise owner, clients and the community
  • Must have the ability to present a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must have the ability to operate office equipment
  • Must have the ability to operate HISC technology systems
  • Must have computer skills and be proficient in Word and Excel
  • Must be able to work evenings or weekends as required
  • Must have knowledge of the senior-care industry
  • Must have the ability to sit at a desk and listen effectively for long periods of time on the telephone
  • Must be patient and congenial on the telephone 
  • Must be able to perform duties in a professional office setting
  • Must be able to recruit quality Key Players
