Klipsch Senior Care, LLC d/b/a Home Instead
We are seeking to enhance our sales and growth team with a dynamic VP of Business Development. This pivotal role will spearhead community engagement initiatives across our territory, significantly expanding the Home Instead footprint. The VP will play a crucial role in connecting the community with the essential services provided by Home Instead. This position is remote, with regular travel to our franchise office locations to collaborate with the onsite Business Development Manager in supporting sales and marketing efforts.
Objective:
The Vice President of Business Development will lead and manage our sales and marketing team in the in-home care industry. This pivotal role will be responsible for driving business growth through comprehensive networking, marketing, and external sales activities. The VP of Business Development will focus on generating demand for home care services, managing a dynamic sales team of 7-8 individuals, and identifying significant growth opportunities with third-party organizations to increase revenue.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Reflect the core values of Klipsch Senior Care, LLC, d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead franchise.
• Develop, manage, and achieve the annual franchise operational plan and budget for sales and marketing revenues, gross profit, profitability, and other operational goals by the stated milestones.
• Collaborate with HR in the recruiting and hiring processes of sales and marketing professionals.
• Oversee and manage a team of 7-8 sales and marketing professionals responsible for building and nurturing relationships with referral sources, enhancing business performance, and achieving sales targets.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team, providing ongoing coaching, support, and performance feedback.
• Work closely with the sales and marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns that reflect the company’s brand and mission, ensuring alignment of sales and marketing efforts.
• Champion all sales-related programs, technology initiatives, and training.
• Develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with referral sources in all communities, including healthcare providers, senior living communities, community organizations, and other potential referral sources.
• Actively engage with the community to promote the company’s in-home care services.
• Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies that align with the company’s growth goals. Ensure the team is effectively driving referral traffic and converting leads into clients.
• Conduct regular market analysis to identify opportunities for expansion, understand industry trends, and stay competitive within the market. Adjust strategies as needed to meet market demands.
• Develop and leverage strategic partnerships with third-party organizations to drive revenue growth. Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities that align with the company’s expansion goals.
• Partner with Finance to manage third-party contracts for sales and marketing initiatives.
• Prepare and present sales reports to the executive team, providing accurate sales forecasts, pipeline management, and budget tracking.
• Engage and collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to build out strategy that will achieve organic and inorganic growth goals.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes, ensuring they are implemented and communicated to all employees.
Secondary Responsibilities:
• Maintain and establish strong relationships with neighboring franchise owners.
• Maintain and establish strong relationships with the Home Instead, Inc. Business Performance team.
• Perform any and all other functions and responsibilities deemed necessary for the successful operation of a Home Instead franchise office.
Education/Experience Requirements:
• College degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Four years of related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for overseeing all functions performed by the sales team. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, coaching employee’s performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Develop and lead sales training that enhances team skills, drives performance, and fosters a culture of learning to align our goals and sales strategies.
• Oversee and manage the sales team budget, ensuring strategic resource allocation to maximize ROI and drive overall revenue growth.
• Willingness to travel to meet with referral sources, develop team members, attend industry events, and support sales team based on business need.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Must have an understanding of and uphold the policies and procedures established by Klipsch Senior Care, LLC, (d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead franchise)
• Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
• Must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines
• Must have the ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills is essential as well as sound judgment and good decision-making
• Must demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards, practices, policies and procedures
• Must have the ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly work
• Must have the ability to establish good working relationships with office colleagues, the franchise owner, clients and the community
• Must have the ability to present a professional appearance and demeanor
• Must have the ability to operate office equipment
• Must have the ability to operate Home Instead technology
• Must have computer skills and be proficient in Word and Excel
• Must be able to work evenings or weekends as required
• Must have knowledge of the senior-care industry
• Must have the ability to sit at a desk and listen effectively for long periods of time on the telephone
• Must be patient and congenial on the telephone
• Must be able to perform duties in a professional office setting
• Must be able to recruit “A” players
